Splatoon 2 Releases June 21; New Mode and Amiibo Revealed

If you own a Nintendo Switch right now, you might want to check it and see if you have the same issue.

However, Nintendo has promised that they are "focused mainly" on these titles and also mentioned the Nintendo 3DS in the press release, so expect more games to be discussed.

Information on Splatoon 2 has been slowly trickling out, and a public "Testfire" demo period took place late last month. Again, along with ARMS, its release date remains vague.

The ARMS presentation was primarily focused with demonstrating character and weapon options within the game. Nintendo is reportedly going to reveal the release of two Nintendo Switch exclusives Splatoon 2 and ARMS as well as loads of new announcements.

Nintendo recently announced that it will be hosting a new Direct stream on Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. EDT.

During its most recent financial earnings call, the retailer's COO Tony Bartel stressed on cautious optimism but couldn't deny that since its launch the Switch has been selling like hot cakes. The upcoming entry in the Street Fighter series boasts multiple game modes, online multiplayer, new control options and Lite controls for newbies. Now, it's just about time for the Nintendo Switch to get a turn. This game is expected to look and play a lot alike the original title, though it may offer different perspectives. For now, only the handheld 3DS and new hybrid Switch console are included in the programme, with Nintendo offering rewards ranging from $100 to $20,000.
