First Breath Of The Wild Expansion Details Revealed

Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC isn't the only thing Nintendo Switch fans should be excited about this summer. In this trial, Link must take on groups of enemies in 45 rooms starting. Nintendo expounded upon a few details regarding Hero's Path: "The route taken will be tracked for the player's last 200 hours of play time, with an included slider to track footsteps on a timeline". I've barely scratched the surface of the game myself and it's already a massive experience. Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker are more will be featured.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (review diary) is a meaty adventure of note, but Nintendo already confirmed that it was getting downloadable content (DLC). Features such as Hero's Path and Travel Medallion are the kind of updates that typically get added to games for free, so it's a bummer that they're locked behind a paywall. You can use this to see where you have and haven't been. Enemies can also have higher maximum levels than they would in Normal mode. The reward is well worth it though, the Master Sword will be permanently powered-up after the challenge is complete (at present, it runs out of power occasionally and needs to charge again before use).

Plus, some new armour and a Tingle outfit that no one asked for.

Korok Mask: Players will be able to find Korok locations more easily throughout the game. Links will have to try and reach these planks to get access to more treasure chests and to battle more enemies. Lastly, you will also find a Korok Mask in a chest somewhere that will help you find the elusive Korok Seeds. Once it is out, you will have to search for the newly added items in the game's world since their location still remains a surprise for now.

You can have it as part of an expansion pass bundle for $19.99 (it's not sold individually), the second piece of which is said to include a new story, a new dungeon, "additional challenges", and arrive sometime this holiday. What separates this trial is that Link begins without any armor or weapons. Once collected, the medallion creates a new fast-travel point where Link is standing, which Link can be transported to at any point. There will be eight new treasure chests hidden in the world, each containing themed gear based on previous Zelda games.

It'll also be easier to see where you've been and go back to your favourite places.

Even prior to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in early March around the world, Nintendo announced what is known as an Expansion Pass for the game, essentially a season pass.
