It looks like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mani Ratnam are finally considering working again.

Aishwarya Rai made her acting debut with Ratnam's political drama "Iruvar" in 1997 opposite superstar Mohanlal. And turns out we were not the only one going gaga over her various appearances at Cannes. Her father Krishnaraj Rai passed away very recently after a prolonged illness, so the family mostly kept it private.

After returning to Mumbai, Aishwarya along with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan attended the grand premiere of Sachin Tendulkar's docudrama titled Sachin: A Billion Dreams.

Recently, while at Cannes, during a FaceTime interview, Ash said that she took a break for five months because of personal reasons. It meant a lot for me personally so I didn't have any professional meetings.

Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Shrama. So, as and when we feel the need and the time is right, we will share the news with you.

On the work front, both Aishwarya and Abhishek were offered roles in Anurag Kashyap's next film called Gulab Jamun. She also disclosed that she has begun listening to scripts and sources revealed that she has nearly finalised two of them.
