HAKUHODO KEY3 INC. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshinori Shigematsu), in collaboration with PONT Corporation’s beyondClub platform, announces the launch of SHIBUYA CHECKIN POKER, an innovative location-based NFT game celebrating the first anniversary of SHIBUYA Q DAO, a project operated by TOKYU CORPORATION. The event will run from November 22 to December 22, 2024, blending digital innovation with the vibrant urban landscape of Shibuya.

What is SHIBUYA Q DAO?
SHIBUYA Q DAO (SQD), operated and built by TOKYU, is a participatory and co-creation project that uses NFTs to create a connection between the real world and web3 in the city of Shibuya, under the concept of “Entertainment for life in SHIBUYA”. Participants can purchase a set of NFT (Non-fungible Token) and a card-type hard wallet to enjoy new entertainment experiences and exclusive privileges in Shibuya. The service, which was launched on November 17, 2023, will mark its first anniversary in November 2024.
What is SHIBUYA CHECKIN POKER?
HAKUHODO KEY3, a specialist in web3 project design and promotion, is participating in this project as a planner. In “SHIBUYA CHECKIN POKER”, players check in at various spots in Shibuya based on their location to get playing card NFTs, which they collect to create poker hands. The top hands will be rewarded with a prize, and since participants can join using their X (formerly Twitter) or Google accounts, there is no need to open a wallet, which is one of the hurdles to participating in web3. This way, participants can easily experience the acquisition and use of NFTs. At the same time, SQD members will be offered special NFTs as additional prizes so that they can enjoy playing poker within the community. These rewarded cards have been designed by NIKO24, creator of the popular NFT “NEO TOKYO PUNKS”.
By collecting playing card NFTs and creating poker hands, participants will be able to enjoy themselves and learn about the charms of the city by visiting Shibuya and touring its spots. Moreover, participants are encouraged to post their spots on social media when they check-in, SQD will enhance the ability to disseminate information about Shibuya together with participating users. The service “Checkin” by beyondClub, which provides an NFT royalty program on the decentralized social networking service “Farcaster”, will be used to spread information.
