The trend of capital flow in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF has started to depict a different turn, with the latest data pointing to a clear distinction in investor sentiment. Data from Lookonchain revealed that all BTC ETFs had a net outflow of 2244 BTC, or about $216.47 million. On the other hand, Ethereum ETFs attracted a net inflow of 3,511 ETH, equivalent to $11.24 million.
Bitcoin ETFs: A Bleak Week
The performance of the Bitcoin ETF segment has been downtrending, with important outflows during the past day and week. The Fidelity Wise Origin BTC Fund (FBTC) is the largest BTC outflow, with a daily net outflow of 1,223 BTC ($117.97 million) and a weekly outflow of 4,695 BTC. It currently holds 204,440 BTC ($19.72 billion).
ARK 21Shares BTC ETF (ARKB) had an outflow of 998 BTC in the last 24 hours and 4,721 BTC in the past week. Likewise, Bitwise BTC ETF (BITB) revealed an outflow of 201 Bitcoin daily and 1,519 BTC weekly.
Among other ETFs:
- iShares (Blackrock) Bitcoin Trust (IBIT): Acquired 318 BTC within 1 day and 3,144 BTC within 7 days and currently holds 556,267 BTC.
- Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC): Bought 118 BTC in the last day but sold 590 BTC in the past week. Current holdings: 204,417 BTC.
- Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund (BRRR) and Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (BTCO) have reported weekly net outflows, with BRRR losing 177 BTC and BTCO bleeding out 484 BTC.
In total, all Bitcoin ETFs possess 1,128,446 BTC or $108.85 billion, but during the week, they experienced an outflow of 8,283 BTC or $ 799.01 million.
Ethereum ETFs: A Positive Shift
On the other hand, there was an increase in investors’ interest in particular ETFs, resulting in net inflows into Ethereum ETFs. The iShares (Blackrock) Ethereum Trust (ETHA) was the biggest gainer, which bought 4,240 Ethereum ($13.57 million) in one day and 4,120 Ethereum over the week. It currently holds 1,118,542 ETH worth of $3.58 billion.

- Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE): Bled 288 ETH in a single day alone and 5,533 ETH in a week. Total holdings: 1,401,782 ETH.
- Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH): Saw the largest weekly outflow, dumping 84,996 ETH.
- Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW): net outflow of 933 ETH in one week.
Altogether, all Ethereum ETFs have 3,558,892 ETH equal to $11.39 billion.
Conclusion
Based on this data, Bitcoin ETFs experience capital flight, while Ethereum ETFs experience renewed confidence. This divergence indicates changing market preferences, especially given that institutional investors are becoming more active in their Ethereum ETFs.
